Spiffy finds

These are the 3 of the fabrics I brought home from my treasure trove. It was so fun to browse through and touch fabric that has been around as long as me.

The burgundy/purpleish upholstery weight fabric is from “5th Avenue Design Co.” which I have found listings for as old as 1982. It is really beautiful. Some of it is on it’s way to becoming a spring purse for me. Some will become a baby sling for the store, and the rest is for sale by the yard.

The green floral upholstery weight fabric doesn’t seem to be vintage, as best as I can tell. It is “Osaka” label. I’m guessing it’s a cotton blend, and it’s finished with scotchguard. There’s a cool tassel that I found that matches it that I’ll throw in if someone buys it.

The large blue floral is also an upholstery weight cotton or cotton blend fabric. It’s from label FabricsAmerica which I can’t find any record of ever existing. I don’t know what that means. It’s really stunning. Bright and cheerful. It is taking a lot for me not to keep it for myself, I think I’ll keep at least a yard to make a diaper bag. It is such a fun pattern.

In order to stay at the top of the queue on etsy I’ll stagger the listing for these. So if you’re interested stay close by, and check back often. I’m really excited to pass these deals on. If you do buy some thing I’d love to see what it becomes, send me pictures!

I love these fabrics! the girls and I are sitting in my bed with the laptop looking at all of the pictures of your girls! We are now wanting to sew, clean out the house and make pancakes! It may become a busy week around here!
