Olivia helped!

We made this little sink skirt to keep the trash can and toilet brush hidden. That’s a really old and really fun sink so I don’t ever want to change it if I can help it, but there is seriously not storage in that bathroom. Olivia has been a part of every decorating improvement in that room. She sat on my lap and moved the fabric while I sewed the side seems. She was really proud of herself. She also stenciled the moon and sun border in there with me two weeks or so after we moved in here. There are a couple mistakes, but not too noticeable.

This skirt will help tie the bathroom and kitchen together a bit more. The blue walls were a good contrast already, but the skirt has the same orange as the kitchen walls as a secondary color which really brings the theme into the bathroom. I really like the way it turned out. I put sticky velcro on the sink and sewed velcro to the skirt to attach it.  I’m also going to make a matching box valance to go over the window in there, which will bring in more color.

Check out the potty training feet. Aren’t they adorable? How about the mess on the fridge which you can see in the mirror? Less adorable.
